
A car hit a cyclist in Strassen on Thursday evening in circumstances that remain to be determined. The accident took place on Route d’Arlon shortly after 7pm. An ambulance and two fire engines were despatched to the scene of the accident.

In the early evening, the Rumelange emergency services investigated reports of a potential fire in Rue de la Fenderie. It turned out that there was no fire, but merely a smell of smoke coming from a flat. Only the local fire brigade was on site and no one was injured.
