National Employment Agency embezzlementCulprit purported to have transferred himself €90,000 over two months

RTL Today
On Monday morning, the Chamber of Deputies received further information concerning the money that was embezzled from the National Employment Agency (ADEM).

While the investigation is still running, it appears that the perpetrator managed to divert €90,000 from the institution over the course of two months.

ADEM had not directly hired the employee: he was a temp brought in from a big Luxembourgish business. The man worked at the National Employment Agency for six years in total.

The scam was exposed however, when the offender tried to transfer too large a sum onto a limited prepaid Visa. He was immediately fired and called into a meeting with his employer.
