“I am disappointed that the party has treated me like Cinderella - and that not a single member from our organisation was considered to stand as a candidate in the parliamentary elections,” says Moraru, who resigns with immediate effect as president of the CSV daughter organisation of 1,000 members.

All of this was recorded in the newspaper “CONTACTO”, in which she also speaks of a “double standard” within the CSV, in which a “toxic leader culture” is tolerated, meaning that the credibility of the party should be questioned.

With this, Clara Moraru, who claims to have done true pioneering work at CSV International, is thus drawing a definite line under her political career of 15 years.

Head of party Claude Wiseler reacts to the criticism and stresses that Moraru’s resignation was a personal decision. According to Wiseler, the party does not exclude foreigners; on the contrary, one will find many foreign citizens or candidates with dual nationality on the electoral lists.
