On Thursday, a motorist eluded a customs check at approximately 1.50pm. In response, multiple police patrols initiated a pursuit. During the chase, the driver drove through a roadblock and crashed into a police motorbike, injuring a police officer in the process.
Undeterred, the pursuit continued into Belgian territory. The fugitive was finally intercepted by Belgian police in Aubange, while still attempting to flee on foot.
