Longer than expectedCR118 road will remain closed until November, following September flooding
Inaccessible since heavy rains in early September, the CR118 road, connecting Mersch and Angelsberg, was initially scheduled to reopen in October, however repair work has taken longer than expected.

On Monday, the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works announced that the CR118 road will remain closed in both directions to all traffic, including vehicles, animals, and RGTR buses, until approximately 7 November 2025.
The road was damaged by runoff water during the night of 8-9 September, which washed away part of the soil beneath the surface and caused a section to collapse. The National Roads Administration is carrying out repair work to restore the road, a vital connection for the municipalities of Mersch and Fischbach.
