Minister Cahen from the Democratic Party contracted Covid-19, thus becoming the third Minister to get infected with the coronavirus in a month’s time. Ministers Fayot and Asselborn, both from the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP), were the most recent cases within the government coalition.
According to a government statement released on Monday morning, Minister Cahen tested positive in a rapid test. The result still has to be confirmed by a PCR test. So far, she displays only “light symptoms”, the statement further conveys. In accordance with sanitary measures, Minister Cahen is isolating at home, but continues to work remotely.
