The accident occurred in February 2016 at the Driver Safety Training Centre in Colmar-Berg. An awning caused the scaffolding to collapse and the worker on the scaffolding fell by seven metres. He was severely injured from the fall.
The court sentenced the company's owner to a fine of €1,000 and the company itself to a €1,500 fine.
The accident insurance company did not receive any money in damages, despite having asked for nearly €268,500 during the trial.
