
The Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) issued a warning on Saturday regarding five ready-made meals from the Colruyt brand that may contain metal shards.
In an announcement on Saturday afternoon, ALVA issued an orange alert, the medium alert level, for the recall of certain Colruyt ready meals. The recall is due to “the possible presence of metal shards,” according to the administration.

These meals were sold by Colruyt between 4 November and 8 November, with use-by dates ranging from 8 November to 15 November.
ALVA emphasised that the presence of foreign objects, especially hard or sharp particles, in food products poses a risk of injury if accidentally ingested. A foreign body, as defined by ALVA, is “any particle present in a food product with a nature or texture not expected by the consumer or customer.”
