The accident took place at around 10.15am between Aire de Berchem and Croix de Gasperich. Emergency responders temporarily blocked both the carpool/bus lane and centre lane while attending to the incident, reducing traffic flow to a single lane.
The resulting congestion extended several kilometres along the busy commuter route before authorities cleared the scene. Normal traffic conditions resumed shortly before 11am.
