The section of the A13 will be closed to traffic from 9pm on Friday 1 August until 5am on Monday 4 August as part of the first phase of works. The second phase will see the tunnel closed to traffic overnight from 9pm to 5am every night from 4–29 August.
This period of time was specifically selected due to the school holidays and the collective leave period in August, in order to reduce the impact on regular traffic. A deviation will be available via the Biff roundabout for the duration of the work.
