Local emergency services had trouble making it to the scene of the accident, which was located deep in the woods. After one and a half hours, both people could be rescued and were subsequently brought to a hospital.
Three road accidents occurred on Saturday evening. The first incident near Maulesmillen involved a car and a quad, a crash that left one person with injuries. Three further people were injured in an accident in Esch, where a car hit a bridge around 10.45 pm. Finally, two cars collided on the motorway near Hellange, where no person was injured.
The last incident of the night where a person was injured was a fire in Olm.
