This is due to change as of Spring 2020, the Ministry of Finance announced on Thursday. Civil servants will be able to have wages paid into bank accounts with different banks. The reason behind the decision is the increasing digitalisation of state services.

The state is still working on the IT updates making this possible and will publish further details for those concerned at a later date.
