The change was officially passed by the municipality of Esch on Thursday morning, but the appointment still has to be confirmed by the minister for home affairs.
The switch was already retained in the 2017 coalition agreement between both parties, which envisioned that Ragni be replaced by Frunnes Marold in 2020. However, the former director of Lycée Huber Clement passed away unexpectedly, which is why the post will now be given to Christian Weis.
The CSV politician has been an active member in the municipal administration since 2016 and ranked as the party's fourth-highest member after the last elections. Weis will be working in several domains, such as school organisation, social life, and equality of opportunity.
