Fire fighters had to open up the roof of the house in order to fully put out the flames. It wasn't until 1.30am that the fire was extinguished completely, and 25 men were involved in the operation.
Wincrange, Wiltz and Doncols fire brigades, Hosingen ambulance, the Staff Sergeant Major and the police were on site.
According to emergency services reports, one person sustained minor injuries.
The report also noted two other fires on Saturday evening/night: just before 9pm, a bin was on fire Lintgen, and a garage at 11.55pm in Grevels by Weiler.
