Cancer FoundationCharity run draws thousands of volunteers to Kirchberg over the weekend

RTL Today
Several thousand volunteers flocked to the national sports centre in Kirchberg on Saturday and Sunday to participate in a charity run supporting cancer patients and survivors.

13,143 people across 260 teams registered for the charity run, which was organised by the Cancer Foundation. Divided into groups, participants walked or ran for 24 hours. Others showed their support outside of the gymnasium while respecting the condition of staying in motion for the entirety of the challenge.

Participants of the charity run raised funds by having friends or family members sponsor them. These donations were entirely donated to the Cancer Foundation, which reinvests the money in research.

The Cancer Foundation was founded in 1994 and has been working tirelessly for many years in the fight against the disease. In addition to providing information on prevention, screening, and living with cancer, one of its main missions is to help patients and their families.
