A collaborative effort between some of the national medical institutions is underway to assure a self-sufficient production of disinfectants, which is successfully being implemented in accordance with WHO guidelines. The aim is to no longer rely on foreign supply in times of need.
An internal appeal has been made by the CGDIS to be more aware of recycling procedures when it comes to empty disinfectant bottles. Old labels are therefore removed, before the containers are sanitised and left to dry. The bottles are then refilled with a hydro-alcoholic solution and labelled anew. After a quarantine time of 72 hours, the disinfectants are reintroduced into the regular chain of goods.
