Organiser Sandro Dimola commented: “People are excited after a long winter to go out and celebrate, joke around, and laugh. That is what characterises our cavalcade.”
An estimated 20,000 people visit the Diekirch cavalcade each year, but is it the best one in the country? Not according to Dimola: “We are proud of having our own cavalcade and of celebrating together with people. But, we grant everyone to have their own and of being able to present the best version of the festivity.”
Luxembourg has six major cavalcades: Diekirch, Schifflange, Esch-sur-Alzette, Remich, Wasserbillig, and Pétange.
