A car crashed into a tree on the CR157 linking Alzingen and Roeser at 12.45am on Sunday, resulting in material damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The emergency services said they could not confirm whether alcohol was involved at this stage of the investigation.
Hesperange fire fighters and a Luxembourg City ambulance attended the site of the crash.
A washing machine caught fire on rue Gabriel Lippmann, Munsbach, on Saturday evening, requiring emergency intervention. Units from the Niederanven, Schuttrange, Luxembourg City and Mensdorf fire brigades were dispatched to the scene, along with an ambulance. However, no injuries were reported.
