PoliceCar chase ends in Walferdange arrest

In the early hours of Thursday morning, two individuals fled police by vehicle and on foot after stealing items from a van in the capital.

At around 2.20am, Thursday, police were informed of a theft in Luxembourg City, in which the suspects stole tools from a van parked on Route de Beggen and fled the scene.

The individuals loaded the stolen items into their vehicle and drove off, but were intercepted by a police patrol.

A brief chase ensued towards Walferdange, where the driver abandoned the car on Rue du Chemin de Fer and attempted to flee on foot. Officers at the scene succeeded in catching the suspect, as well as a female suspect in the abandoned vehicle. A search of the car revealed a number of tools.

The public prosecutor’s office ordered the two suspects be arrested and brought before a judge on Friday afternoon.
