The driver of the car failed to notice that the van was turning until it was too late, hitting the back of it.
One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital, while both vehicles were severely damaged.
Grevenmacher police were called to the incident, as well as the Grevenmacher-Mertert fire service.
