A white Volkswagen van hit a pedestrian on Avenue Charles de Gaulle, at the pedestrian crossing between Boulevard d’Avranches and Rue du Laboratoire, before driving off in an unknown direction.
The pedestrian suffered several injuries and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
The police are looking for anyone who might have seen the accident or the VW van. Preliminary information indicates that the front of the vehicle was damaged.
Anyone who witnessed the accident or saw the van is asked to call the police emergency number 113 or to contact the Luxembourg City police station directly, either by calling (+352) 244 40 1000 or by writing an e-mail to Police.LUXEMBOURG@police.etat.lu.
