A long-term investigation into a series of burglaries conducted in the Grand Duchy from 2019 and 2022 has yielded further fruit. Thanks to the cooperation between the Luxembourgish and Serbian authorities, another person suspected of involvement in the robberies has been extradited to Luxembourg.
The individual has appeared before an investigative judge and has since been transferred to prison. The presumption of innocence applies until otherwise proven.
The investigations, conducted by the Grand Ducal police in conjunction with international partners, narrowed the focus down to an organised crime group from southeastern Europe, thought to have committed numerous burglaries in Luxembourg.
