At around 10pm on Thursday, a woman surprised three burglars when she returned to her home in Rue de Mondorf in Frisange. The culprits fled through the garden before driving towards Aspelt.
Twenty minutes later, the inhabitant of a home in Rue de la Libération in Itzig managed to chase away two burglars who had already rolled up the blinds and were attempting to pry open the window.
The police also reported another “attempted burglary” in Rue des Vignes in Wormeldange.
The only successful burglary occurred at around 1.45pm in Rue de Mamer in Bertrange, when a group of burglars managed to steal jewellery and a mobile phone. The culprits had simply smashed a window to get into the building.
