The police are investigating two separate burglaries that occurred on Thursday evening, both involving entry through a terrace door.
The first incident took place at a private residence on Route de Luxembourg in Bertrange. Preliminary reports indicate that the perpetrators gained unauthorised access to the property via a terrace door.
A second burglary was reported later that evening at an apartment building on Val des Bons-Malades in Kirchberg. In a similar fashion, the suspects are believed to have entered the home through a terrace door. The burglars made off with an undisclosed amount of jewellery and cash.
