On Friday morning, police were alerted to a break-in on Rue de la Fontaine, Dudelange. The thieves were said to have broken into the property between 12.30am and 7.20am while the residents slept. The perpetrators pushed up a blind and broke a window to gain access, taking valuables from the ground floor.

In Strassen, a house on Rue Ignaz Semmelweis was burgled between 7.30am and 1.20pm on Thursday. Thieves gained access to the house through a kitchen door at the back of the property, and stole a number of valuable items including jewellery.

Police reports have been drawn up for both cases, while forensics teams attended both properties to facilitate the investigation. Further information on protecting one’s property against theft can be found on the police website.
