When the police arrived on the scene, their attention was drawn to one vehicle in particular. The driver tried to flee but they were ultimately caught by the police. The breathalyser test came back positive, and the driving licence was withdrawn. The police also drew up a report about the brawl.

More driving licences withdrawn

An accident between a car and a bus occurred on the CR112 between Tuntange and Septfontaines shortly after 10pm. According to the bus driver, the driver of the car fled the scene following the accident. After some time had passed, the motorist contacted the police. Because the breathalyser test was positive, the man’s driving licence was revoked, and he was fined.

At around 7am on Saturday, the police received reports about a man who was fast asleep behind the wheel of his car, which was stationed in the middle of the road. As expected, the breathalyser test came back positive. The officers withdrew the man’s driving licence and immobilised his vehicle.

Alcohol checks ordered by the public prosecutor’s office

The police conducted alcohol checks on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office between Boulevard Joseph II and Place Winston Churchill, between Route d’Echternach and the N11, and in Rue de Neiduerf.

Ten out of 146 checked drivers turned out to be inebriated. The police issued one warning, nine fines, and withdrew two driving licences.
