Ministry warnsBottles of Moët & Chandon Imperial Ice 3L could contain MDMA

A person died in Germany in February after drinking from a three-litre bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial Ice champagne that was contaminated with MDMA.

According to the Ministry for Consumer Protection, the bottles in question are being sold online. The lot numbers identified so far are LAJ7QAB6780004 & LAK5SAA6490005, but more may be affected.

They are easy to identify: the champagne in these bottles does not fizz and has a darker colour than usual. So far, they have been found in Germany and the Netherlands. Consumers are advised to be cautious.
