Burglars broke into a bicycle shop at the Cloche d'Or at 4.30am on Monday. Initially, the burglars attempted to break the glass windows at three separate points, but were unsuccessful and instead broke open a door. They stole a number of bikes and accessories.
The police also reported a number of break-ins on construction sites and office buildings. A total of six break-ins occurred throughout Luxembourg City, with thieves stealing machines and other IT material.
The construction sites targeted were on Boulevard Royal and Avenue de la Gare. The company buildings broken into were on Rue de Bitbourg in Luxembourg City, Rue de Bonnevoie in Verlorenkast, Rue de Luxembourg in Merl, and Route de Dippach in Mamer.
