Financial regulatorBeware - scammers posing as police officers in Luxembourg

RTL Today
Luxembourg's financial regulator (CSSF) has issued a fresh warning as false police officers are making the rounds once more.

The scammers pose as police officers or representatives of the judicial courts, and usually speak German. Their aim is to fraudulently gain access to their victim’s money.

In most cases, the scammers approach elderly victims, claiming a family member has been involved in an accident and must pay tens of thousands of euros in order to bail them out.
Should you receive or have received such a call, contact the police immediately and do not under any circumstances comply with the requests.

More information on such scams is available on the police website.
