This year's autumn was different from usual: lots of rainfall and unusually high temperatures were recorded.

While in September some weather stations were still measuring values slightly below average, October and November recorded temperatures that were well above the seasonal norms.

As for rain, the difference was even more apparent this autumn: Findel’s weather station measured +198,5 mm, +146,4 mm in Clemency, +99,9 mm iN Remich, and +90,7mm in Asselborn, where 1mm corresponds to 1 litre of rain per square metre. September generally broke historic records, with 265.1 mm measured at Findel, 211.6 mm in Clemency, and 157.1 mm in Remich. This also led to flooding in the Alzette valley.

For agriculture, conditions were mixed: vegetables, fruit, and corn suffered from the rain, while rapeseed and potatoes actually benefited from the change. Conditions for winegrowing in general were rather favourable despite the wet September, and its harvest period finished earlier than usual.
