Auchan issued a statement following the negotiations in it which it described talks with the Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) as constructive.
The collective contract retains that employees receive a 70% wage increase when working on Sundays. Employees that have worked at the retailer for more than five years get an additional day off work. Among several other benefits, employees can also get a 10% reduction on purchases from Auchan.
