Luxembourg police are investigating two separate attempted burglaries – one in Esch-sur-Alzette and another in the Bonnevoie neighbourhood of Luxembourg City.
The first incident occurred on Friday evening when a resident of an Esch flat was awakened by unusual noises. Upon checking, the individual discovered a burglar tampering with the flat’s entry door. The suspect fled before authorities arrived, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
At around 3am on Saturday morning, a second break-in attempt took place in Bonnevoie. Intruders smashed a window to enter a house, triggering the alarm system. By the time police reached the scene, the perpetrators had already escaped. An investigation into the incident is underway.
