Luxembourg and neighbouring areas are set for a sunny and warm end of April, with temperatures climbing above 20°C in the coming days.
According to Luxembourg’s national weather service MeteoLux, temperatures will rise steadily this week, peaking at 23°C on Wednesday (30 April) and Thursday (1 May). Skies will be partly cloudy on Sunday before turning mostly clear in the following days. Morning lows of 6-9°C early in the week will give way to milder starts of 11-12°C by midweek.
The warm spell extends across borders. In France, Météo France predicts similar or slightly higher temperatures, with Thionville enjoying at least 23°C and abundant sunshine.
Meanwhile, in Belgium, the Royal Meteorological Institute forecasts daily highs above 20°C and predominantly sunny skies to start the week.
