Police are looking for witnesses after burglars were caught in flagrante breaking into residences in Ettelbruck and Dudelange.

Police were alerted to a break in on Rue Abbé Joseph Flies in Ettelbruck on Wednesday evening.

The perpetrator had tried to gain access to the house through the terrace, but fled when they were discovered.

Another break in occurred on the same street between 3.30pm and 8pm.

The police have asked for any witnesses who noticed suspicious behaviour on Rue Abbé Joseph Flies to contact them on 244 80 1000.

In Dudelange, the owner of a house on Rue Eugene Conrad on Wednesday was able to surprise a man who had broken into her home. The burglar quickly fled the scene and was able to avoid police. A man matching his description had been spotted earlier on Wednesday as he tried to break into another residence shortly before 2pm, although he fled in the direction of a bus stop when he was discovered.

Police description:

A male aged between 20 and 30, dark skin, wearing a grey jacket with black hood, black jogging bottoms and black shoes and gloves.
