In June 2013, GRECO released an assessment of Luxembourg, offering fourteen recommendations.

In October 2017, GRECO initiated a follow-up process after a subsequent analysis indicated Luxembourg’s adherence to the suggestions was “unsatisfactory”.

GRECO’s latest addendum to this follow-up, issued today, shows Luxembourg has now adequately enacted thirteen out of the fourteen recommendations.

However, the last recommendation, related to setting up an effective oversight and penalty system for breaches of parliamentary conduct rules, is only partially fulfilled. GRECO finds the measures taken to be lacking, especially in verifying the accuracy of declarations and the lack of details on parliamentary oversight mechanisms.
