'Mam Vëlo op d'Schaff' ('Commuting by bike'), short MVOS, is an event designed to promote cycling as a sustainable means of transportation.

The annual challenge, which celebrates its 14th edition this year, is organised by the Ministry for Mobility and Public Works.

People can register to participate in groups of up to four people, and children can also register their commutes to school. Given the country’s layout, the event allows participants to combine cycling with public transport.

This year’s event takes place from 15 May to 31 July. During that period, participants must cycle to work or school on at least 15 days. There are prices with a total worth of €13,000 up for grabs.

Furthermore, the Ministry will reward a special price to the school, company, or institution that managed to mobilise most people for the challenge.

Registration is still possible until 15 July. For more information on the competition, consult this link.
