A serious traffic accident occurred on the N22 between Redange and Ell late Wednesday afternoon, prompting an emergency response that included the Air Rescue helicopter. The incident, which took place shortly before 5pm, involved a single vehicle colliding with a tree. Alongside the helicopter, emergency services despatched two ambulances and a fire engine.
Authorities confirmed three casualties but did not disclose their medical conditions. Preliminary reports obtained by RTL suggest at least one individual sustained serious injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
In a separate incident earlier Wednesday, two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on the N1 near Potaschberg/Grevenmacher. That accident occurred shortly before noon.
