At around 5.40pm on Sunday, a young person fell off his e-scooter in Reckange-sur-Mess and was injured.
According to police, a group of adolescents had been out riding e-scooters together when one of them lost control and came off. The boy had to be taken to hospital.
Officers inspected the vehicle he had been riding and found that the e-scooter had been modified to travel faster than the legal limit allows. The scooter was seized.
Police also checked the other scooters in the group, and found that this was not the only one that had been tuned. Those were also seized, and further investigations have been launched.
