Two vehicles were involved in the collision, which took place on the motorway near Livange.
Around 1 pm, there were 7 km long tailbacks on the motorway leading towards France. The two vehicles were stationary in the emergency lane and debris scattered across the road. Road authorities reminded drivers to leave a rescue lane on the motorway.
The accident was cleared around 1.30 pm and traffic flow has gone back to normal since.
