Two vehicles were involved in the accident, which occurred at 7.20am on Monday.
The N12 was closed to traffic at 7.45am. According to preliminary information, two people suffered injuries in the accident.
Since there is also a risk of black ice between Grosbous and Hierheck, the road remains closed until the gritter has passed.
