A multi-vehicle accident occurred near Sandweiler. As of 5.30pm, three cars were involved in a collision between the entry and exit lanes heading towards Trier.
The motorway was previously closed and over seven kilometers of traffic congestion were reported. As of 6pm, two lanes are open, and the traffic jam is slowly clearing. Best to avoid the area to steer clear of traffic.
