The police confiscated two driving licences between Friday evening and Saturday morning due to drunk driving.

At around 12.30am, a car sped past the police station on Boulevard John F. Kennedy in Esch-sur-Alzette. The police were able to stop the driver shortly afterwards, who not only turned out to be inebriated but also did not have his documentation in order.

At about 5.15pm on early Friday evening, an accident occurred on the motorway between Foetz and Kayl. Four vehicles were involved in the collision. Three had been forced to brake due to a traffic jam, while the fourth vehicle was unable to brake in time. The driver of the fourth vehicle later turned out to be intoxicated.

Three of the four motorists were admitted to hospital for a check-up, according to the police.
