
At around 2pm, two vehicles collided on the A13 motorway between Ehlerange and Lankelz. Two people were injured in the incident.
Emergency responders on the scene included the emergency medical team from Luxembourg City, ambulances from Mamer and Dudelange, and fire crews from Sanem-Differdange and Esch-sur-Alzette.
The motorway had to be temporarily closed near the accident site, which led to a tailback stretching more than 5 kilometres. A second accident occurred shortly after within that queue.
At around the same time, the roof of a hall caught fire in the industrial zone in Mertzig. Firefighters from Mertzig and the Nordstad area responded to the blaze.
At 1.45pm, a motorist was injured in an accident on Rue du Bois in Bascharage. Fire crews from the Sanem-Differdange station and an ambulance from Käerjeng were deployed to the scene.
At 4.05pm, an accident involving two vehicles took place on the A6 motorway just before the Bridel exit. Two people were injured and were seen to by ambulance crews from Mamer. Firefighters from Mamer and Kahler were also on hand.
