The reason for the closure of the A1 was an incident on a bridge above CR 137. Amongst others, Air Rescue was at the scene.
Motorists who had already passed the Mertert exit by 11.00 am, were forced to turn around by police.
According to the police report, the A1 reopened just after 12.00 pm.
