Steinsel authorities have issued a public alert after fraudulent letters, purportedly from groups like Lamesch or Valorlux, began circulating in the area.

The municipality of Steinsel has issued a warning to residents about a potential scam involving fraudulent letters currently being distributed in the area.

The letters, which look like or resemble the one pictured, are being circulated under the false pretense of being from official organisations. In a social media post, the council explicitly stated that neither the Lamesch waste collection company nor the packaging recovery scheme Valorlux are sending out such cards or conducting door-to-door collections for money.

Authorities are urging residents to be vigilant and to inform their neighbours – particularly the elderly, who may not see the online warnings – about the suspicious activity.
