In a move to address a critical shortage of skilled professionals, the Digital Learning Hub will open three new academies in 2026 focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.
The Digital Learning Hub (DLH) in Belval will expand its curriculum following the Easter holidays in 2026 with the launch of three new, intensive academies dedicated to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. The programmes are designed to train experts in these high-demand fields within a maximum of 14 months.
Established in 2022 under the Ministry of Education, the DLH provides continuing education for adults. It offers hundreds of short-term courses annually, primarily focused on artificial intelligence, coding, and cybersecurity, and has already served over 10,000 participants through its various training modules.
The expansion addresses a critical need for highly qualified IT personnel, a sector vital to both the national economy and security in the digital age.
Dr Serge Linckels of the Digital Learning Hub explained that the new academies are a direct response to market demands. He described the need for cybersecurity experts in Luxembourg as "immense", noting that such professionals are crucial for protecting infrastructure and building resilience for the country's companies.
Regarding artificial intelligence, Dr Linckels stated that Luxembourg is committed to investing in the field, with many companies already operating in the area and requiring a growing number of specialists. On quantum computing, he emphasised its strategic potential, saying it "truly represents an opportunity for the country to develop an area where we can genuinely compete on a global scale".
Prospective students can find detailed information on the programmes, including pricing, specific duration, and admission requirements, and register directly on the DLH website at dlh.lu.
