A spate of road accidents on Thursday left five people injured, according to the emergency services.
Five people sustained injuries in a series of separate road accidents across the country on Thursday evening, according to reports from the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS).
The first incident occurred at around 5.29pm, when a vehicle left the road and landed in a ditch. Emergency responders from Larochette and Waldbillig attended the scene, where one individual was reported injured.
Shortly after, at 5.49pm, a two-car collision on Grand-Rue in Pontpierre resulted in another injury. Personnel from the Mondercange and Luxembourg City CGDIS units were dispatched to the location.
In a separate incident in Pétange, a pedestrian was struck and injured by a car on Rue d'Athus. Local emergency teams were deployed to provide assistance.
Later in the evening, shortly before 8pm, one person was injured in a collision between two vehicles on the CR234B road connecting Sandweiler and Scheidhof. Paramedics from Luxembourg City responded to the accident.
The final reported incident took place on Route du Vin in Grevenmacher just after 10pm, where one person was injured. The emergency response involved crews from Flaxweiler and Mertert, supported by an Emergency Medical Assistance Team (SAMU).
