Two people were slightly injured on Thursday evening after a small light aircraft experienced a failed landing at Findel Airport.

According to RTL information, the incident was confirmed by Luxairport CEO Alexander Flassak, who said it is assumed the aircraft had problems with its landing gear. According to early findings from the police, the pilot reportedly became unwell during the flight.

The runway at Findel had to be closed, resulting in delays or diversions until it can be cleared again.

The light aircraft now needs to be towed away. While the duration of the operation is difficult to estimate, the Luxairport CEO noted that the process is quicker than with a larger aircraft.
