Two cars collided early Tuesday morning between the Bettembourg interchange and Livange, and despite the accident being cleared quickly, traffic remains heavily congested.
The collision happened shortly before 6am on the A3 motorway towards Luxembourg City, between the Bettembourg interchange and Livange. According to the authorities, two vehicles were involved and the left lane was blocked.
By around 6.30am, the Automobile Club of Luxembourg reported that the accident had been cleared and the road reopened, but long traffic jams persisted at the border, with around nine kilometres of slow-moving or completely stopped traffic on the French side of the A31.
