On Thursday morning, the Grand Ducal police intercepted two drivers transporting vast quantities of alcohol in their vehicles, with neither possessing a valid driver's licence.

Two motorists were pulled over on the N27A near Friedhof on Thursday, where a search of their vehicles revealed they were carrying a total of 925 litres of alcohol.

All the goods were seized by authorities, as police alerted both customs and the tax administration to the illegal transport of alcohol. In addition, neither driver possessed a valid licence. Their vehicles were confiscated by order of the public prosecutor's office.
